SoLoPrint Terms Addendum

These terms apply specifically to the SoLoPrint application and supplement the main SoLoVision Terms of Service.

1. Our Relationship with SoLoVision

SoLoPrint is a product of SoLoVision LLC. This document explains terms specific to SoLoPrint. By using SoLoPrint, you also agree to the master SoLoVision Terms of Service, which covers our overall data protection principles, IP ownership, and legal foundations.

2. Services Provided

SoLoPrint provides a cloud-based 3D printer management platform. This includes:

  • Remote monitoring and control of connected 3D printers via the SoLoPrint Connect bridge.
  • Real-time webcam streaming and printer telemetry dashboards.
  • Cloud-based STL/3MF slicing with configurable printer profiles.
  • Filament spool inventory management with automatic consumption tracking.
  • Print queue management and fleet-level job scheduling.
  • Mobile applications for monitoring, control, and push notifications.

3. Acceptable Use Rules

In addition to the master acceptable use policies, SoLoPrint users agree not to:

  • Use the service to control printers for illegal manufacturing or production of prohibited items.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to printers owned by other users or organizations.
  • Reverse engineer or circumvent the bridge daemon's authentication and tunneling mechanisms.
  • Use the platform to distribute malware, harmful G-code, or files designed to damage printers.
  • Misrepresent printer capabilities or fabricate telemetry data.

4. Third-Party Platform Rules

SoLoPrint integrates with third-party printer firmware ecosystems (OctoPrint, Klipper/Moonraker, Bambu Lab) and slicing engines. You agree to comply with the terms of service and licensing of any third-party firmware or software you interact with through SoLoPrint.

5. Hardware & Risk Warnings

3D printers involve heated components, moving parts, and electrical systems. By using SoLoPrint:

  • You acknowledge that remote operation of 3D printers carries inherent risks including, but not limited to, fire hazards, mechanical failure, and material defects.
  • SoLoVision LLC is not responsible for any physical damage, injury, or property loss resulting from unattended or remote printer operation.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your printers are in safe working condition and comply with local safety regulations.
  • SoLoPrint's filament estimates and pre-print validations are advisory and not guaranteed to prevent all print failures.
